Welcome to Catawba Valley in the North Carolina foothills!
The main purpose of Newcomers of Catawba Valley is to introduce people who are new to the area to new friends. It also provides an opportunity to explore the area with other newcomers. Activities take us to area restaurants, attractions and events.
Who is a member?
Although some members have lived in the area for a decade or more, most join during the first three years in residence. We welcome members from the Unifour area which consists of Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties.
What do we do?
A general meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The location is changing. If you are not a member, please email us for the current location. Click "Contact Us" on the left side of this screen for our address. Each meeting begins at 10:00 AM with a Welcome Coffee, followed by a brief business meeting and a program on various topics. In addition to the general meetings, regularly scheduled activities offer opportunities to get better acquainted. Click on the Activities button to see what we're doing.
